Chapter Five
Please explain -- using details -- why you think Pa is upset and why he doesn't like Mr. Strawbridge.
If that was the case, Jared, wouldn't Pa do something about it? Why would the law be taking Tyler away, anyway? And isn't Pa encouraging Tyler to go with Mr. Strawbridge?
Pa couldn't do anything about it because if he did, then he would go to jail, and he is encouraging Tyler to go because he wants Tyler to get lots of money for his future.
If he left to New York they would think he still murdered someone and they would send him to jail and stay for an even longer time for running away and Pa doesn't like Mr. Strawbridge because he wants Ty to come work with him and he is intruding with only Ma's approval not Pa's.
I think pa doesn't like Mr. Strawbrige because mabey pa think Mr. Strawbrige is the law taking away his son.
